Activities
Quality
of life is enhanced by a wide variety of Activities and programs offered at the
Clarion Nursing Home. Our Activities Director and staff work very hard
to provide an enjoyable and stimulating atmosphere for the Residents. All of the
Residents are encouraged to participate in the programs and special events that
enrich their lives.

Clarion
Nursing Home is proud of their wheelchair van used to transport Residents
to activities located outside the the home and means they do not always have to
rely on the Darts service. This van was purchased with funds raised by the hardworking
staff, Residents' and theirfamilies during charity events.

In
the summer there are Strawberry Socials and BBQ's on the patio. In winterClarion
Nursing Home enjoys a wide variety of visiting singers and performances, even
special movie and pub nights. Festive occasions are frequent happenings and there
is always something to look forward to!

All
the comforts of home include a large screen TV for our Residents' enjoyment. Special
movie nights and sporting events are regular activities along with a stereo sound
system for listening to old favorites and learning about new ones.

The
Activities department encourages residents to be active and offers interesting
and fun activities on a regular basis. Each month a calendar
and newsletter is issued for our Residents and their familys' to review
and plan for. Special events and holidays are celebrated with special meals, decorations
and parties. Families are always welcome and encouraged to participate. Our
own woodworking shop allows the carpenter to exercise his creativity. Life long
hobbies and interests can continue to be enjoyed in our well equipped facility.
Interdenominational and Catholic church services are held regularly for all those
who wish to attend.

hairdressing salon and barber shop are located on site. Frequently there are bake
and craft sales, fashion suppliers and even jewelry shows to be found at the Clarion
Nursing Home.
